e-pro 12v Refrigerator temp

My freezer freezes ice cubes, so it's getting pretty cold, but the refrigerator is in the high 40s after running for many days. Is that expected? Any hints on getting it colder? (knob is on coldest setting)

Since you posted this in the General Tech and Repair section, you'll need to post brand and model number of your fridge. FR uses different brands and model numbers of 12v only fridges.

Air leaks in the door gasket will cause this to happen. You can do the dollar bill test on the gasket by closing the door on a dollar bill. Then pull the bill out you should feel resistance, if not the gasket is not sealed. Do this all the way around the door..

Excessive ice buildup on the freezer can also cause this by insulating the thermistor. Usually ice buildup is also caused by bad door seal.
