Electrical not working after storm

We have a 2017 Salem 27DBUD. We went camping this week and had thunderstorms last night and when we got up this morning the only thing that worked in the camper were the outlet plugs. No lights or anything. We were able to use the battery to get the slide in and hooked up to get home. Anyone know what it could be. I checked the breakers and fuses in the converter box

Check the reverse polarity fuses 30-40A . May be in distribution panel or on the converter. Check the output of the converter when connected to shore power. You apparently had AC but no DC.

Everything that you say is not working is 12 volt. Check for a small circuit breaker on the main power cable, near the battery. There may be a small button the side of the breaker. Press it.

Thanks I did check but didn’t see anything. It is all 12V with the battery connected everything works. Just won’t work while plugged in

Everything works off battery but not when plugged in? It should still work, the converter recharges the battery. Are you turning off the battery switch when plugged in? Are you getting charging voltage (13.2 volts or higher) at the battery while plugged in? Check at the battery terminals with a voltmeter.

Check the Converter breaker in the main AC panel. Turn it off and then on.

Even if it's not the problem...

Even if it's not the problem this time, you should know where that little circuit breaker is. It's a little plastic box, maybe 1" long, 3/4" wide, and 1/2" thick, with two threaded studs sticking out of the front face. On one end is a tiny button. Press it in firmly to reset.

On a travel trailer, it will be either on the underside of the A-frame (e.g., under the propane bottles) or under the trailer, just behind there. Best to lay on your back and scoot around, following the battery cables.

As CedarCreekWoody is eluding to... I'm confused as to how you used the battery to put the slides in but had no 12v power when plugged in.

There has to be more to this story.

If the battery was disconnected AND the reverse polarity fuses are blown, then the OP should NEVER have had 12v power... before or after the storm.

The 12 volt for the slide is not USUALLY connected to the battery disconnect.
No 12 volt when plugged in can be a converter AC breaker tripped. Or a fried converter after the storm. That's where I would start if I was trouble shooting as an electrician Well actually I would start at the Ped and work my way into the rig.

This seems to be the opposite of your problem, but some of the tests are a good check anyway:
