Elixir converter/charger question

Hi all, new to the forum and just bought a 2006 pony palomino popup. I don't know if I'm missing something or not. When I hook up trailer to 120v cord so far everything works fine. As soon as I disconnect 120v I am not able to use interior lights on 12v. This is an elixir elx25 model converter. All 12v fuses test good when hooked to 120 cord, no power to fuses when disconnected from 120. Fuses on lead wire are good. I guess I'll start there in order to keep this short but would appreciate any suggestions or diagnosing tricks. Thanks,John

Have you checked the battery with a multimeter or hydrometer?

I am currently charging battery overnight using the onboard converter /charger, will rehook my regular battery charger in the morning,so no I haven't checked with a multimeter or hydrometer. Slowly going through things and quite surprised I can't at least interior lights without it being plugged in. The voltmeter attached to the converter reads a constant 13.8 to 14.0 volts when trailer is plugged in, as soon as I unplug everything turns off and goes blank.
