Fridge Door Panel

My wooden door panel keeps slipping / falling out. It seems the bottom tray that snaps in to the fridge doesn't hold and I assume when I hit a bump while transporting it dislodges. i have tried reversing the top tray with the bottom but it still happens. Not only is this annoying but when it falls it falls directly onto the electrical shut off pull switch. This is now bent and I cannot chance shearing it completely off so I have totally removed the panel.
I know this is still under warranty but has any one experience this also?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Glad you are here and hope we can help you.

First thing - please let us know what your trailer is and what make and model fridge.

Now, I've personally never had a problem with the raised panels on my fridge, but others have. Here are two threads.

Watch your toes!

Good luck!

Sorry...I am new to this forum and I see my signature was not attached. I have a 2012 ROO 23SS. I know it is a warrenty issue but reading your past posts it is good to see I have a solution for after warrenty.

Thanks again for you reply and past posts attachments...

No problem. You are definitely not alone. These falling doors seem to be a design or install issue. You and I have the same fridge and we haven't had the problem (yet - knock on wood) so not sure if its the design or the installation.

Let us know how it goes at the dealer.

Here's one more thread for you from another Roo owner.

Fridge

That sounds dangerous Fonzie.

As you have noted it is a warranty issue. If the trailer was out of warranty I would probably fix it myself with Contractor PL or a similar product and permanently affix it to the fridge door.
