Fridge insulation

I am taking out my RV fridge and going with a small residential electric. I have capped off the propane. As you all know, the compartment at the rear of the fridge is vented to the outside. If I am on electric only, do I need the vent, or can I cover it with styro insulation?

Residential fridges need ventilation too. If you do close it off, you want to leave some ventilation around the unit so it can get air to the coils.

Where are the heat exchange coils? If under fridge, you can probably close it , but if the coils are on the back ( inside or out, then you will need circulation to the outside.
