Fridge not cold.

My Norcold fridge is not working on electric. The freezer is fine, but fridge will not get cold. All ok on propane so using that right now. What should I try before spending money with the pros?

If your frig is working on propane and not electric you either have lost the 110V power to the frig or your heating element has burned out. Take a meter and test the 110V where the frig plugs in and using a meter test the heating element for continuity.

A little more info might help.
Have you just recently turned it on or has it been working and now has stopped?
We think you mean you have a 2 door refer and the top freezer is getting cold but the lower fresh food area is not?
How long has it been on?
It can take several hours to get cold from a warm start up.
Is it level?

Fridge only

Yes, it is a two door. The freezer works fine, just the lower fridge not cold. When camping a month ago, I was plugged in when the power was lost to the area. I switched to propane when I found out about outage. When power restored, I switched back to electric, and felt that things were not cold enough, so went back to propane for the remainder of the trip. In readying for this trip, I turned it on, and that is when I discovered freezing on top, and nothing on the bottom. I left it on electric for quite some time-certainly longer than I ever have had to do so. I feel pretty sure that all was fine before the power outage. Is there a fuse that may have blown? Breakers are fine.

If you have an owners manual for your fridge it might have a schematic diagram inside that shows fuses.
Most do have fuse(s) that are accessed from outside your rig in the rear of the fridge.
A specific model # would help someone post the schematic for your unit.

Reading a couple of the responses, I'm a bit confused on how this would be an electrical issue. The OP says the freezer does get cold running on electric so I would assume that means the heating element is working - and I believe there is only one element for the evap system that cools both the freezer and the fridge. Have I got that right?

Maybe one of y’all can help me. I have a 2004 Cardinal by Forest River I hooked it all up about 2 months ago and the freezer started working instantly and the fridge took a while. I understand they fridge takes awhile to cool off. Now the fridge gets really warm that butter starts to melt and then all of the sudden it cools off like normal and then it quits cooling again. Is it suppose to get warm like that and cool off? The whole time the light bulb in the fridge still works and the freezer still works

Fridge only

I looked, and do not have a manual. Oh, it's a Dometic fridge, too, (too many RVs owned-got mixed up). I have model #958527787, and will look for a schematic, later. I'm headed out on a non-camping weekend, and will further investigate when I return. It sounds like Haydenlowry has a similar problem. If Forum cannot help, I will contact National RV Refrigeration in Shipshewana, IN, as those guys are good, and helped me in the past. Just trying to avoid the drive over there.
