Fridge not working on 110v

Our fridge works fine on propane but will not work on electricity. If the button is on "Auto" it will not run OR switch to propane. With the "Auto"button off it works fine on propane.
I thought it might be the outlet that the frig is plugged into , located behind the exterior access door , so I unplugged it from there and plugged it into a known good power supply, thus eliminating any trailer 110 wiring issues.Still won't work.
This happened back in October on our last trip out , haven't talked to the local RV dealer yet.Thought I'd run it by you experts on here first.

Sounds like the electric heating element is out. Not too big of a job, depending on model. Look up the manufacturer on the web, and see what manuals they have published.
Might give you some help, and a part number for the element.
