Fridge only cooling on inverter

2014 cedar creek 36ckts. Just started this weekend. On inverter power fridge works normal but when you hook shore power the freezer works amd fridge doesn't cool.

I'm assuming this is a residential refrigerator. if you had said not working on shore power, only working on inverter, I's suspect the refrigerator transfer switch (not the generator transfer switch). but you say the freezer section is working on shore power. if that is true it is not the transfer switch as the refrigerator is getting power to run the freezer. this sounds like a refrigerator problem. I do not know how it would run on the invertor but not shore power. are you sure this is true?

Yes cause we got to campsite and got all hooked up. Next morning fridge was warm but freezer was cold so we just kept everything in freezer. So we left campsite today and kept fridge on with inverter and viola fridge got cold. Ypu can actually feel the cold air blowing down from freezer but shore power you can't feel anything.

the only thing that I can think of is that the campground shore power is marginal to faulty. but you let now so we won't know. can you plug into another shore power source and see if the refrigerator runs ok or has the same problem?

check your breakers.
My new camper did this to when we got home after picking it up from dealer. called them and they told us to check the breaker in panel we had shut it off at dealers for some reason. it needed to be turned back on at the panel.

there is only one power cord bring power into the refrigerator. a breaker off would turn the entire refrigerator off. the op states the freezer section is working which says the breaker is on. if the breaker was off I could see how neither the freezer nor refrigerator would work on shore power but they would on the inverter. i'm stumped. let's wait until he plugs into a new shore power source and see what happens.

You sure inverter power isn't gas. Sounds like electric or 110 heating element is bad. Go to outside fridge panel, remove, find where electric wires go into heating tube. If you can't move heat element, it is bad (probably got too hot & popped, very expensive to replace if that has happened).

If Res ref freezer is working and not cooling the ref section, the cooling fan is out or the thermostat switch is out. there is only one cooling coil in a res ref and the fan moves the air based on thermostat demands.
