It seems as though my fridge in my Rockwood 2306 has a factory preset that is too cold. Does anyone know how to adjust before I go dig out the owners manual?
x2. it'll have wires on it. I can't remember which way makes it colder though.

X3 - this thing ( I believe it is called a thermistor ) has caused a great deal of confusion as to what it's function is.
I am certain that when it is fully up ( against the bottom of the freezer in our case) that is the coldest setting. Make sure it is firmly secured on the fin or it will fall off or slide down the fin or both.
Do a search for Thermistor here for more information.
Also if you pull plastic slider and look you can slide probe all the way to the top of plastic slider and reinstall for maximum cooling.
But in your case move slider down in small increments to find temp you desire.
I would install a thermometer like I did.

And a fan for circulation.
x2 on the OLDCOOT, after I seen his I got one works great. In the winter I take one out of the ref. to monitor the basement temps. it let you know how cold it gets down there, kinda another use for that handy gaget......
