Frig

Does your TT need to be perfectly level to run the frig at home between camping trips?

It should be pretty level. There was an interesting article in Trailer Life about RV fridges, and they suggested getting the trailer as level as possible. We have posted here that the fridge should be level side to side, but not as important front to back. After reading that article, I think we should just settle on "as level as possible". According to the article, being off level seems to be the number cause of failure.

I moved the thread to appliances and electronics.

The front to back level is the critical axis ONLY if the fridge is mounted in a side wall. If it is mounted in the rear wall or in a cross wall, the left to right axis will be critical.

Read the article in Trailer Life as well. The pictures of the burned up boiler from lack of ammonia (that was trapped up in the coolant loops) will cure you of even thinking about running it for any length of time out of level.
