furnace and not heat pump??...

Howdy....new to this forum, so welcome all.....my question is, i bopught a 2018 legacy 34A, and was wandering if theres a way to run just the furnace , and not the front heat pump??.....thanks all

If you have a Dometic thermostat, put it on "Auto" and that should fix your issue....see page 5 in manual....

We really need to know which HVAC mfg. you have and which thermostat you have.

In case you do have the Dometic thermostat mentioned above, as said, you set the FAN to AU and then select Furnace mode, and just the furnace will run.

i have the wall mounted touchscreen control panel....not sure of the name of it...not the old domestic ones that i had in the 5th wheel....i know on them you have to be in auto....

is it multi zoned . if so one zzone will have the electric heat pump and the other will have the gas [furnace only]

2 zones...bedroom is only cool and off.....living room is heat cool and off...and when you turn on the heat, it says "heat pump+ furnance" and they both run...was hooping a way to just turn on furnace......

If you press 'mode' again does it cycle to just furnace and/or just HP?

No it does not........when you get to the "heat mode" ...heat pump kicks on then few seconds later the furnace kicks on......thanks for your help though...

I just turned off the A/C circuit breaker in the 120v circuit panel. The Heat Pump in the A/C can not come on without 120v. After that the 12v gas furnace worked just fine. I found out later, it could be done with the thermostat.

I did it that way because my Samlex EVO is on all the time, with shore power it is in bypass. I unplug from shore power and it switches to Inverter power in milliseconds. It is like having a UPS for my FR3. I alway have 120v power in my FR3. I'm thinking of setting the clock on the microwave.
