Furnace Died and then Not!

We were camping in Luray KOA and the temperatures were in the upper 20's overnight. About 0300 DW wakes me and says the furnace is making funny noises and blowing cold air. I figured I better check it out.

I went outside and checked the propane. The left tank (30lb) was empty and showing red on the regulator. The right tank should have been full and it should have failed over. Apparently, that only works when the valve on the full tank is actually turned ON!!! The furnace was fine after that.

Getting old is not for wusses.

Lesson learned!!

Marty

Don't worry. You are among friends who've done the same thing at one time or another. Some will admit it, some won't.

I'm actually a "repeat offender". My wife used to make me pay for my mistake. When i came back in she's stolen all the bed covers
