Furnace Fan

Hey, I just spent a couple days in the cold for the first time with this 5er and have a Q...

I would like to run my furnace fan overnight when I have a couple of electric heaters going in order to distribute the heat and keep the basement a little warmer. If I turn the fan ON in my thermostat it turns the AC fan on, not the furnace fan on. It isn't obvious to me how to turn the furnace fan on without turning on the furnace itself.

Any insight?

My last camper would turn the furnace fan on when it was set to heat and fan set to on.

I ran mine that way this week in a 32BHQ 5th because of condensate in corners and slide cupboards. Opened cupboard doors pulled bunkhouse matresses away from walls. Inside temp set for 68 outside was 28-38. air conditioner fan running destratified heat better than ceiling fan did. Made it feel a lot warmer. Helped some with condensate.
Now I need a much quieter furnace fan, anyone?

I think you may be out of luck without some mods. For quite awhill now the vent fan in the ceiling runs with A/C, heat or just fan. All controlled by the thermostat, even controls two roof units or more individually. Furnace fan is built to run only with burning gas. That can be modified buts its not a heavy duty unit to begin with. A floor circ fan is quiet and more capacity.

Might try hooking something like this into the system.

I just wired in a switch and another 12v source to the furnace blower which bypasses the burner.
