Furnace/Heat Pump always on
Hello,
First time poster! I'm looking for some guidance on my Dad's A-Frame A213HW's heating/cooling system.
It has a Dometic Heatpump (unsure of model at this time), with a Dometic thermostat.
The problem started this season, where if the breaker is on, the HP AND furnace kick on and don't shut off until he shuts off the breaker. Even with the thermostat completely disconnected, the behavior persists.
He purchased a brand new thermostat, same issue. I believe the HP's control board is what tells the furnace to kick on as well, so I assume the issue could be with that board.
He has cut power completely overnight with no change.
My mom has a trailer as well, and I measured the voltages on hers depending on the mode it was in, and it varied. On my dads, regardless of which mode it is in, the voltage range stays the same. It's almost like the thermostat is trying to communicate with the HP but its not working.
Has anyone ran into this issue, and if so, what did you do to fix it?
Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you
