furnace help

furnace works fine this spring. Today, not so much. today I get fan on. igniter spark but no burner. It tries to light 3 times then shuts down. Nothing visible to check or clean without removal. There is an inspection window on top but the bottom of the fridge is 3'' above. All I can see is full removal inspect and some sort of cleaning. this is a 2002. I'm guessing it's never been removed. Suburban. Model unknown. Stove and WH working fine.

Any help?

When I had a similar problem it turned out to be burned up bug guts (I presume) in the burner tube that was disrupting the proper air/propane mixture. Blew it out with compressed air - a bunch of ash came out - and it fired right up.

Hope yours is as easy to fix.

EDIT: Sorry - mine was the hot water heater.

the DW went to the store and I was able to play with the propane without interference. left the 3 burners on for about five min while trying the furnace. Finally came on. working fine. I thought this was gonna cut our stay short. 45 degrees this am when I got up.
I will pull and clean next summer.

I would recommend putting bug screens on your furnace exhaust if they are not there already. I had mud daubbers build a next in my furnace exhaust once and could not get the furnace to light. when I removed the nest, the furnace worked perfectly. The nest blocked about 10% of the exhaust.
