Furrion 10cu.ft. 12V Refrigerator. How noisy is too noisy?

First of all, I'm not a 12V fridge hater.

We had a Norcold gas fridge in our Class B and 12V versions are way bigger for the same footprint and ours anyway, performs much better. No contest on that.

But it is louder.

All compressor fridges will have some noise when the compressor is running.

Being on a platform, less solid than that of your average house, probably doesn't help.

It doesn't sound like anything is wrong necessarily. No banging, squeaking, or anything like that, just a fairly loud vibration, that can even be heard outside of the camper.

Does anyone know how these things are set in place?

Adjustable feet?

Mine is on a platform, above the electrical service panel. It wouldn't be a fun job to take it out but if I can make it quieter by making an adjustment of some sort, or installing a sound absorbing mat, it would probably be worth it.

When we first got ours new rig the 12 volt fridge was loud as well. I discovered if I put pressure on one corner of the door it would quiet down. This told me something was out of alignment.

I took the fringe out to hang the door to swing in the other direction and put it back in. When I did it was fixed by accident. I never did identify the exact vibration point but by shifting things around it corrected itself.

Now when it starts it will have a high singing sound as the pressures equalize but shuts up quickly

Thanks a bunch. I'll nose around and see if I can find any pressure points that change it.

Might give a clue about how to improve it.
