I heard a loud pop come from my Furrion fireplace. I immediately turned it off.
There is an awful smell coming from it. What could this be?

I am in a Forest River FR3 34DS
Is it still in warranty? If not, it shouldn't be too hard to remove it and open it up for inspection. Sounds and smells like something shorted and burned up. Don't forget to shut off the breaker first!
Never leave these Furrion fireplaces unattended, Our Sabre fifth wheel almost burnt up one evening, On a cool evening at the campground with me outside and my wife taking a shower the fireplace decided to destroy itself. I smelled smoke and ran inside to the LV filled with smoke, I pulled the breaker, grabbed my cordless gun and pulled the fireplace out of the wall. There were wires still burning and numerous melted components. I took it outside and doused it with water. It could have been an ugly loss of our RV and our lives.
