Furrion Vision S, weak signal from rear camera

Hello All! First post on FRF ... did a quick search but didn't find anything specific to this.

New 2024 RiverStone 425FO came with Furrion Vision S 4-camera observation system installed. Works like a champ! However, when we're towing we keep losing the connection to the rear camera. Furrion indicates that the recommended range for cameras to monitor is <50 feet. When we're towing, distance from tow vehicle dash to rear camera is roughly 55 feet. Ugh ...

Has anyone had any success in boosting the wireless camera signal to the monitor? Any suggestions on products to do the job?

Thanks!
Jim

There are boosters out there. Haloview makes one (or sells one) for their systems. What it does is take the antenna from the camera and runs it forward to the front of the TT so the distance between the camera and the monitor is greatly reduced.

Search Amazon. There are generic boosters listed, but I have no idea whether or not they work.

Have you tried a longer antenna? I had similar issues with my 35 footer, so I bought a different antenna last year, about 7 inches long, connection has been rock solid since - they do make them longer. I know you have a larger camper, but they're not expensive and might be a cheap/easy fix.

Update: thanks for the suggestion @TheMarkles. Tried the higher gain antenna. Moved this past weekend and the connection was better, but still not 100% so going to try the setup that moves the camera antenna closer to the front of the fifth-wheel. Back to Amazon ...

Just an FYI, I have one of the Haloview range extenders up on the roof. The roof antennae has a magnet on the base, which didn't stick to my roof. I used eternabond tape to attach the antennae, and also put strips of eternabond over sections of the cable running from the camera to the antennae on the roof. I didn't cover the entire cable.
