Note the low stock indicator...this one is probably gone soon. The Concertone site announcement gives one little hope of getting a fix there. Concertone® Contact Us
The idea of spending that much money on a piece of junk is nuts. If you can't get warranty satisfaction...you might wanna just look at completely different solutions. Jensen makes a few...and depending on what you want, my guess is that you can get far better sound for far less $$ from your local Best Buy or Car Audio specialist...or from the folks at Crutchfield.
Concertone does not sell replacement parts so you will not be able to replace just your screen. The company name was actually Aridian Technology and they built the Concertone and Genesis brands.
Crutchfield is a well respected Retailer not a distributor so they counted on Concertone for warranty issues. Crutchfield replaced units with any defect during the warranty period so the customer would not be inconvenienced.
I have been gone for quite some time now and as disappointed as you are in the lack of service as I worked hard (as noted in these forum threads) to raise the service level.
My industry contacts tell me There is a a plug and play solution that will replace your Genesis and Concertone products that is coming soon. These new products will have a two year warranty and an abundance of features that you will love. They are not associated with or being built by the makers of Concertone and Genesis.
If you can wait for a replacement, I'd hold off until you get a chance to see these new units.
I have a question regarding the Genesis 3.0 SD card reader. I have tried to view photos and it will not display existing photos on an SD card that is formatted FAT. The photos are JPEG. The reader is picking up the files and very briefly flashes the folder on the TV screen showing all the files. Then it says "no card in slot". Do I have a fault in the card reader? The unit is under warranty. I just hate to take it in right now. I am hoping it is operator error but there is not anything in the manual that describes how to deal with this issue. The pictures are viewable on a multitude of other devices.

What size is the card? Max is 8 Gig SD.
"Reads media stored on SD cards. The GT-3.0 supports SD cards with up to 8GB capacity. The SD card must be formatted to be FAT or FAT32. "

You can try a Reset procedure and if that does not work it is most likely bad...
Press and hold FUNCTION button for 10 seconds - Unit will shut off. Restart unit by pressing the ON button. Factory defaults will be reset with this type of restart.

1. Are you sure the card is good. Does it work ok in PC's or slots other than the one it was loaded on?
2. Suggest maybe moving the files off the card and reformatting the card. You might try FAT32 as the format. 3 Ways to Format an SD Card - wikiHow ... then reload the jpegs and try again.
3. Does the unit recognize other files like mp3's on the same card or does it not load at all?
4. Personally...I'd try a different card (not over 8GB) and see if the situation duplicates itself. If it does...it's a unit problem. Try the reset as noted...then send it for service if you can.
There is supposedly a new unit being introduced by someone within the next month or so that will replace the Genesis & others. If you find the GT3 needs replacement...you might wanna wait a little bit cause whatever they announce
HAS to be better than the current stuff!
Thanks for the response. I've tried several cards already. All are FAT format. I will try a reset first, then upgrade to FAT 32. We'll see what happens. I was hoping for an easy fix.

I really have the same problems with pictures only. I use a 6 formatted to fat 32. Music will work but my photos are black and white when shown on the TV. I now just use my laptop plugged into the TV back put the unit in PC mode. I just gave up....
Reset did not cure the problem. I actually got pictures to display though, only once. I could not get it to display again. The manual says that results will vary depending on which device was used to save the data on the card.
On a separate problem, I accessed the setup menu (just learning the unit) and now cannot get the setup menu to display again. I am beginning to believe there is a problem with this unit.

That happened to me. I thought my Television was 1080p so I set the video to that in the Gen3 set up while I was using the HDMI output.
Video won't go back to anything else even with a reset.
I removed unit from the wall to access the Composite (Yellow RCA) output in the rear wire bundle and ran an RCA to the TV's composite IN.
This allowed me to see the video menu so I could change it back to 1080i and suddenly the HDMI was working again. Lesson Learned!
I wonder if the Pictures only display out of the composite output?
Hmmmm Wanna try that? Try changing the display to 720p and see if everything works...

Ok, that helps. I'll take an RCA cable when I go back. That's what I did, changed to 1080p. I have reformatted a SD card to FAT 32 and copied pictures back along with some music to see if either will work. There may be a difference between the stealth cam that took the originals and the computer copied photo and music files. I just want to see if I have a problem or if it is operator error. I've been bit by a "short between the steering wheel and the seat" before.

You will need a male to male RCA cord long enough to get from the back of the unit to the TV's input.
BE CAREFUL pulling the faceplate to get at the 4 mounting screws. VERY easy to break the snap clips. Use a dime or flat blade screw driver to slowly pop out the bottom and work up to the top.
