GFCI Mayhem | Mayday

I have a 2021 Palomino Solaire 202RB and have had one issue after the next transpire. Was marketing to me “like new” used.
I have several electrical outlets on the interior of my trailer.
I left my laptop on and plugged in by accident last night.
I woke up and the main GFCI outlet was tripped. So, I pressed the reset button and it kept tripping and every time I press it, it trips and remains in a tripped state and none of the other GCFI outlets that do not have a reset button do not work.
I tried resetting the breaker box. That did not work. The breaker was not tripped.
I tried installing a new GFCI outlet, but that did not work.
I tried banging my head against the wall and ruining the ******** flooring when moving the sofa in order to get to the inconveniently located GCFI outlet.
Any thoughts here?

Unplug the computer. IT may have a problem which has triggered the GFCI.

Were/are you connected to shore power that is working properly? If not, is there a chance you were running off an inverter powered by your batteries, and those batteries are dead now? IIRC, GFCIs won't reset if there is no power to them.

Where is your 110volt power coming from? Shore power? Generator?

I have heard of something like this happening when plugged into an external inverter generator (like a Honda 2200 or similar).

I would unplug the laptop first (I don't think that the laptop specifically is the problem, but it's a good ideal to isolate things when you are troubleshooting).

Will the GFCI reset without the laptop plugged in?

Disconnect shore power - will it reset now? If so, what happens when you plug back in? Does it trip immediately? If not, does it trip when you plug the laptop back in?

If you are running from a generator, that inn itself might be causing the problem. When you are on shore power, the neutral and grould lines are connected together (bonded) at the power source's breaker panel. The GFCI is kind of expecting that. But they are not bonded together on a generator.

There is an accessory that you can buy, called a bonding plug, that solves this problem. It just plugs into one of the 110v 15 amp outlets on the generator, and ties together the ground and neutral.

Here are some examples: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=bonding+p..._ts-doa-p_1_11

I'm not positive this is your problem, but it's worth checking out.

Remove only the load side leads from the GFCI outlet (the wires going to other outlets). Leave the supply wires connected. Does the GFCI outlet work now? If yes, you have an issue with one of the outlets that is fed from the GFCI outlet. Look especially at any outside outlets on the RV - they tend to collect water/dampness and damp outlets will leak current to ground.

See if your converter/charger is a plug in model. That may be on the same circuit and causing the ground fault.

Anything plugged in should be unplugged while you test.

my fat fingers don't allow fully pushing down the little reset
make sure you push it all the way in (use a plastic pen or something)

Does the micorwave or any other 120v appliance work?
If yes you can just test from the inside breaker box
Make sure your breaker is not tripped... CYCLE IT FULLY OFF THEN ON

use multi meter confirm power is going through the breaker
----------------------------------------------------------------

test and do as other above have stated
uplug stuff and test in stages

The GFCIs that don’t have buttons are just regular outlets fed by one with buttons. Use your meter on the backside feed wires to start. Others have given you the same idea.
