Going to "check" while on propane

2018FR A-frame HW with almost 150 nights out camping. On most recent trip to Utah, fridge acted fine for first 4 days then developed sporadic out ages with control panel lights going from "auto/gas" to "check". No wind to speak of & fridge has performed great for the last 2 years. Many miles driving gravel / sand roads in the Swell on the way to Moab. Pres " off" button, let sit a minute, hit "on" and normal panel lights come on. 5 minutes max check light reappears. Put new propane bottle on line & problem solved.... For two days, then problem redeveloped. Sometimes run for 8 hrs, other times 2 hrs. Last 24 hrs on drive home & no cooling function. Phase two: once home & hooked to shore power, started fridge & ran 25 hrs... Temp down to 28° .. All is working! Detach shore power & return to "auto/gas" setting and begin monitoring. ( also cleaned inside access panel & wiggled wires/etc. ) within 2 hrs problem returns! I' m guessing bad sensor or relay/ ?? Hoping an expert out there can help steer me to solution. Thanks in advance!

Voltage in normal range, Didn't drop below 82% while camping. Full solar hookup to Renogy suitcase while camping.
Once at home battery level restored to 100% before beginning test of fridge.

I wonder about your propane supply.
Does your stove appear to have normal size burner flame?
Does your water heater light and burn vigorously?
If these appear normal it's time for a tech to check the fridge for proper flame.
That's all I've got....
Good luck!

If "check" light appears, first thing I do is check burners for flame. Do not use eater heater ever. Burners normal. Will re run my "experiment" today .... Post results later.

If the furnace runs properly it probably isn't the propane regulator, but if its wonky, I'd replace the regulator. They fail pretty regularly so having a spare is a good move if you want hot food with your meals.

No problems with propane system, only 3way fridge when left on the "auto/gas" setting. Works fine on shore power... Turned it on at 9 am this morning and at 5 pm now 35°in fridge. About to go and switch setting from AC to auto/gas and will monitor it in an hour to see if defaults to "check" stay tuned, more clues to come?

We’re you at a place where the altitude was over 6,000 feet?

We were camping near Moab & uncertain of elevation. Fridge has operated fine at elevations up to 10,000' while in Colorado. Does not seem to be elevation related; had a fresh 20 lb tank .
