Good source for Dometic Refrigerator parts?

A couple of months ago, in a moment of inattention, I failed to notice that the refrigerator door had come open while driving, and when I opened the slide - the door was caught and it broke the bottom hinge of the main door.

I was able to make it work by replacing the broken pivot pin with a nail, but I would like to fix it right.

Anyone have a good source for parts? It's a Dometic DM2872RBX model (the "PNC" number is 958703821). I am specifically looking for the bottom hinge of the main door, but I will buy a kit if that's the only way it's available.

I was trying to find a parts list. Did you look in your manual for a list? Just google the part numbers if you get that.

As an update, I ordered this https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...it-29326430300 to repair my broken hinge.

I had a heck of a time getting it last year. I think I ordered and paid for it 3 times, and each time the seller canceled and refunded after a couple of weeks because they couldn't get the part.

I tried again about a month ago, and this time the kit arrived with no problem. I had intended to replace everything, since I had all of the parts, but when I looked closely I realized that each hinge has two screws that go in from the front (easily accessible) and one screw that comes in from the side - which would necessitate pulling the whole fridge out by at least a couple of inches.

I decided to just replace the damaged pin, which was the silver threaded pin near the center of the photo.

The door works fine now, but I am looking for a replacement for the door side of the hinge. It is plastic and a portion of it was broken off in the initial mishap.

Hope this helps someone else who may have made the same (dumb) mistake that I did!

Did you think of calling Dometic in Elkhart , In.? I just got a couple door handles earlier this week. Have your info at hand and call early . Maybe email customer service. 9am eastern time. They were just fine to deal with.

Sorry for not following up. I just sent this PM to Jkillian:

I did - sorry for not following up. I ordered this kit back in April, and found that it is what it says it is, but it wasn't everything that I needed.

https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...it-29326430300

I ended up using one piece out of it - one of the hinge pins to replace the one at the bottom of the lower door. I was going to go ahead and change everything since I had the kit, but then realized that I would have to at least partially remove the fridge from the trailer and I wasn't prepared to do that right then.

Unfortunately, the part that I *really* wanted/needed was the plastic piece on the door that the hinge pin goes into. Mine was partially broken away, and that part isn't in the kit and doesn't seem to be available without buying a whole lower door. It still works ok with the broken piece, it just annoys me that I broke it.

Hope that helps
