Good wireless camera reversing camera for toy hauler

Okay peeps, I just purchased a forest river toy hauler and the trailer comes pre-wired for a wireless reversing camera. Currently the forest river system is out-of-stock (price seems good at $170), so I looked on ebay and I can see lots of wired and wireless RV reversing camera systems, most less than $100. I suspect none of them will plug directly into the wiring harness that is installed on my trailer (Not an issue, I am an electronic engineer), but can anyone recommend a specific system, I would like a 5 or 7" screen, and I want wireless, do not what to run wires inside my car to connect the screen to the trailer camera.. I know you can get some good Chinese electronic devices of eBay, but there is also a lot of cheap rubbish out there, so if any of you have bought a system of eBay and installed it on a forest River trailer, what where the issues and would you recommend the system or run a mile from it?

Thanks Gary

If you can’t find what you need or want, it doesn’t exist.
I’ve been using their wireless system in our motorhome for years now.

Pick how many cameras you want, and how big a monitor you want…..it’s all here.

Moved thread from the Towing and Tow Vehicles sub-forum to the Appliances and Electronics sub-forum.

I wasn't sure which section to put it in, it's electronic but the forum seemed to have questions about electrical issues with RV/trailers, but it's also used for towing so wasn't sure!! Thanks for putting it in the electronics forum.

In my Facebook group the Halo View cameras are a popular option. I do not have one so I can't say. I have a Furrion that came with my first trailer. The Furrion is not that good... 3" display, poor color,.... But its also 4 years old so not fair to compare to newer ones.

Anyway, Amazon has a selection of Halo Views. Some with adapters to Furrion mounting plates. Some support 4 cameras. Etc.

If you do a search here, you'll find that the Haloview camera system is the most popular brand for RVers. They even offer an adapter for the Furrion pre-mount.

I bought the cheap 130.00 amazon single wireless camera + 7 inch screen

it came with an adapter so will fit Furion Pre-wire kit (may require some finessing)

The factor installed mount broke ... so just used the standard U bracket that came with the camera

reception picture quality is good at 65mph.. any faster the picture starts to breakup

The cheap amazon packages is OK but you need to order the correct number of cameras you want at time of purchase ... harder to order additional cameras afterwards.

I just use it for observation camera ... never turn on the reversing lines

Haloview. Wireless, excellent video quality, 7" screen. I bought the additional bracket to use with a Furion premount. I ended up discarding the Furion premount and mounting the camera bracket directly to the rear wall of the camper.

Furrion is more expensive and not as good as Haloview. But they got most RV manufacturers to install their stuff.

I installed this on my previous camper. I haven't put one on my Avenger yet, but plan on a wired one. The reason for a wired one this time is the lag in what is happening and when you see it was about 4 seconds.
