Haloview Range?

Greetings,

Is anyone out there successfully running a Haloview MC5111 or MC7108 on a truck and trailer set up longer than 33’? The reason I ask is their website says not for lengths greater than 33’, but it I’ve seen a lot of reviews where people have seemingly reported success otherwise. Most though don’t indicate the length of their trailers hence my question.

Thanks!

I bought the 7108. My trailer is 40 ft. It did not work. Signal kept dropping out.

Haloview hooked me up with what I needed parts wise for the extended range system at a good cost. Since I bought the 7108 on Amazon on cyber monday, at 50% off, the net of the two was still at or below the extended range regular price.

I personally would recommend the extended range system. It is still wireless but you do have a cable connected receiver that allows you to move it all the way forward to the cap of the trailer. Works great.

I have the 7108 and had to get an adapter to make it work correctly with my 23 ft TT plus truck length. There again they sent it to me at a very reasonable cost.

I have the 7101 on my 43' trailer (over 50' between camera and monitor and not within line of sight) and had to run a low loss coax cable from the camera on the rear of the trailer over the roof to the front of the trailer and secured it with strips of Eternabond tape every 3' or so. I use a 2nd camera as dashcam and a 3rd on the headache rack and record to a 128GB Micro SD card. I heard that certain truck configurations can cause signal loss inside the cab where the receiving antenna had to be moved to the rear window, but still the HaloView is a great camera with a very decent monitor. However, my understanding is that the signal issue has been resolved on the new 7108.

I bought one of these https://www.haloview.com/haloview-wi...etic-base.html to put on the camera and ran the wire down the center of my roof and eternabonded the base of the antenna and the cable to the roof. That moved the antenna about 16' from the front of the camper and only about 24' from my truck cab. This fixed some occasional screen freezing problems. I've also installed the side marker light camera's and love their system. Best picture of any systems I've personally seen and now its solid as a mirror.

Very happy I chose this system (MC7108) and with the results.

I have a Haloview as well. I don't have any problems with range. My TT is 30' long, and then add the length of my truck and it's about 45'.

I tried the same antenna as Cincy Gus, and it improved my connectivity slightly, but was still receiving major drop outs.

If they improved the 7108, Im glad to hear it. I really like the Haloview camera setups. Thinking about adding left and right side cameras.
