Heat pump makes water when heating?

I know when the heat pump is in cooling mode it will make water. Does it do the same when it is heating? Same principle just reversed.

The reason I am asking is in the morning before we move and I raise the jacks I get water running off the roof to the low side. Since it did not rain I am hoping it is coming from the heat pumps.

The difference between cooling and heating is really only whether it's cooling inside air or outside air.

The when heat is removed from air and it drops below the dew point condensate is formed.
