Has anyone added a heat strip in the ac unit? We have a 2012 264sv surveyor with roof ducting ac and wondered if it can be done with styrofoam ducting.

Have 2 of them and there's no issues with the styrofoam. The strip heater is not real large. It mounts in the return side of the unit so the air is pulled over it and pushed out on the supply side. It will gradually heat up the RV. It will maintain temperature down to about 40-45 degrees. After that it will just run on and on. We use them while we're out so the temperature doesn't drop too much and we're not burning propane while we aren't in the RV.
