HELP Stranded

Steps hit something when expanding. They stopped about 3/4 of the way out. They now do nothing. Key on and off several times, step switch on and off. Nothing. Lamp under steps usually lights up when steps are out. It is not on, so I assume that there is a fuse or CB tripped somewhere. I checked all fuses in the house and all good. I also checked all the fuses I could find in the wiring. The wiring diagrams are terrible and don't even show the steps.

Its a 2015 FR3 25'. Cant move till we get this resolved. Any assistance? Where is fuse/cb? Where does it get it's power?

Update. The step lamp IS on with the house door open. It goes off when I shut the house door. So it is getting 12V to the assembly, but the motor doesn't work. Limit switch or motor bad?

Are they just "stuck" against something still? Can you carefully, with a helper, open the door and try and help force them down?

Possibly a gear is broken if the steps opened up and hit something.

You could head to a lumber yard and see if they do you a favour and fabricate a set of wood steps till you get home and/ or get it fixed.

Steps are out right now. (about 3/4 of the way) They hit something when going out and just stopped there. There is no obstruction now. All is clear, but steps are just sitting there and won't move in or out with the ignition key, or the step switch. The lamp does go on and off. The motor does NOT run. So I doubt gears are the problem.

Can one person activate the switch while another physically tries to pull them out?

Bob, Thanks. That WOULD HAVE helped except the position my steps were in did not allow me to remove the operating link. So I had to take the full step assm down and remove the motor from the assm. Then disc. stuff. A pain...

I installed my own switch to raise and lower the steps. Something is wrong with the limit switch in the unit and I will have to fix later.

thanks
