High temp tape

Hi Folks.
I have a dashcam that is mounted to the windshield of my truck. It came with a two sided tape to mount it. The problem is the tape supplied turns loose when the windshield gets hot. I've been looking for a tape that can withstand the heat of the windshield. Anyone found something that will hold? Thanks.

I'm replying so I can follow the thread. I'd like to know also. Have you tried a silicone sealant in addition to the tape?

Try the 3M molding tape. Many of us have used it to hold our awning lights on. Strong stuff.

I looked at the molding tape and probably will give it a try. I didn't mention that I live in Georgia and you can imagine how hot a windshield can get here. Thanks for the response.

Can you remove this tape if needed? Can you remove the camera or whatever else is mounted?

What if the camera needs to be replaced or if you are concerned about theft?

I have used the 3M outdoor Velcro with success in some areas. However, ithas released from my dash board after awhile.
