How long is your coax cable

When you are at the camp grounds that offer up free cable how long of a coax cable do you keep on board to connect from the utility to the camper ? I’m thinking 20/25 feet should work for almost any application??

The one we use is 50' and was under 13.00 from Amazon when purchased back in 2019.
Better to have more than not enough, kind of like the shore power cord and water hose!

Actually, we carry two cables. One's about 10' for when we're parked near the post and another around 25' for when we can't get close. I can't think of a campsite where we would have needed 50'

The Amazon Basic is pretty cheap. I have a 25’ & 50’. My trailer did not have a campground cable input so I modified the wiring to change the outside TV output to an input with a separate coax wall receptacle and that means throwing the cable under the TT to the door side vice being on the power & water side.

What he said plus a connector so both can be put together into one longer one. Many times the 10 footer is enough.

I have been to some great sites where I had to use the full 50 feet.
Better to have it available than to scramble off to a store.

I've actually got three, ranging from 10' to 50' plus some barrel connectors, 90° connectors, and push-on connectors. There's one campground we stay at often where the 50 footer is needed; the hookup is all the way at the rear of long pull-thru sites.

Long is always better. We carry 2 water hoses, 2 sewer hoses and sometimes wished we carried 2 cables. So we just carry on long cable, one long and one short sewer and water. You never know what you might need. One of the first RV parks we visited in Oregon all the hook ups were at the very rear of the trailer. Hook ups are up front before the nose. 25 feet we needed. Just like this RV park. This pad is not level and after raising the 5er 1 1/2 I still need another 1/2 plywood shim. So the old saying of always being prepared, We would say, it is best to go long if U only carry one. At least 30 feet and fight the snake when you put it away.

I carry 200' of quality RG6 coax in 50' lengths with appropriate connectors. I no longer use any campground cable connections but do use it on my portable satellite dish. Get quality coax and you will be happier.

If you need 50' to get to the CG's pedestal, then they had no forethought when they laid out the facilities. That being said, I've been known to run 100' of coax through the woods to a clearing so that the satellite dish had a clear view! And, I wasn't the only one who had their dish out there!

Two 25 footers and one 10footer. I use the 10 for CG cable most of the time.

50', but only because I got it really cheap on clearance. If I didn't have that I would carry a 25' plus a 10' or 15' with connector. We seldom camp where there is free cable but, like others have said, it's better to go long. 25' of coax doesn't do you any good if you need 30'.
