How to Remove the TV in Windjammer 2102W

HI Everyone,

I searched through the forums but couldn't find information on how to remove the TV for my camper. It's a 2009 Windjammer 2102W.

I want to remove it so I can get to the ports on the back of it to plugin components. For example a Xbox for the Kids. There are Component ports on a white panel below the TV. It's labeled "Game" and Cable/Satellite". I assume that's where you are suppose to plug in components. But I plugged in a working Xbox and went through all the "inputs" on the TV and nothing showed up. So I was thinking about going directly to the back of the TV and plug it in.

Problem is I don't see a way to get back there. The TV doesn't move. There is only about a inch of space between the TV cutout and the TV on all sides. I don't see any door or panel on the sides. I will try an attach a photo

I think you need to go through the radio settings to get it to work. Same as getting the TV to go through the speaker system. Later RJD

TV removal

I have a 3001w and the TV is on a mounting bracket that lets you lift it off. Perhaps that will work for yours also. I have a bit more space around mine, but I just lift up on the TV and then you will feel it disengage from the bracket. Hope that helps.

Mine must be a little different. Can't lift it at all...Very odd. I'm obviously missing something. Would love to be able to use one of the HDMI ports on the back of it as the panel on the front doesn't have a HDMI port but the TV clearly has one.

Some have a small cable attached to retain tv so it won't 'jump' out of bracket while traveling.

I have a 3008W and one must grab both sides of the TV and pull straight forward. The TV moves out some and allows it to be rotated left and right. It also give one enough room to access the jacks on the back.

Could there be an access panel through the bottom of TV cabinet just above Concertone that you can remove and then access back of support for TV??

I've never removed mine, but have been told that I'm to grab a strap that hangs down from the back and to pull on it. That's suppose to release a catch and it's suppose to come off. I haven't tried it just to try it because I'm afraid it's will be a real pain to get back on. I may have to try it , however, because I'd like to attach a HDMI cable very soon.

Yep, looks like there is a cable in the back holding it down. Anyone have an idea where the other end could be attached or is this something you just have to cut?

Don't cut! It looks like a video cable. Some mounts have a "snap in" bracket. Firmly grabbing the TV from left & right sides, pull towards you. If you feel one side give more than the other side, pull a little harder on the opposite side. Hope this helps.

Just tried it. It won't move.

The cable is certainly a metal wire. There are other cables attached in the back and they are video cables. So unless I am missing something that's got to be the reason.

It's a very thin metal cable (half the gauge of the other video cables in the back) that is very tight. If I poke it with something, it shakes the TV a little.

2 thoughts.... Put your camera under and beside the TV to see if you can get clear pictures of the mount.
Also, there may be a tv mount owners manual in pack of RV paperwork. Maybe it'll show some pointers. Good luck.

That was a good idea!!

It confirms there is indeed a cable holding down the TV. Now I just got to figure how to get to the other end of the cable to disconnect it. It goes into the same hole as the video cables come from. I am thinking about taking off the radio to see if it shows were it goes.

Edit: I looked through the Docs and no information on the TV mount..Just the TV itself

Solved!

The other end of the cable was behind the radio. Once I removed the screw it was ancored to, I was able to easily lift the TV off the mount and put my HDMI cable behind it.

Thanks for the all the help everyone!
