Information on Dometic's new DMC4101 Variable Speed Compressor Refrigerator?
I have been searching for any information on Dometic's new DMC4101 Variable Speed Compressor Refrigerator.
1. Is there anyone on this forum that owns one?
2. If so, the pros and cons would be appreciated.
3. I am in the process of replacing my DM6252 with the new DMC4101 RH.
The Pro's and Con's to me:
You don't have to be level with the compressor refrierator. You can be as much as 30° off. They were originally designed for boats, which rock a lot and can never be level.
12V only... so you have to have several good, large batteries and a few solar panels are great also. No LPG or 110V.
Storage capacity is much greater. My 6 cu. ft. 6252 is replaced with the "same size" 4101 with 10 cu. ft. inside.
Cool down time is much shorter. Start it up about 6 hours before packing food and it's at its low temperature.
Less expensive vs the 6252.
If there are other owners out there of the 4101, am I missing something?
