Installing Sirius Antenna

We purchased a Sirius receiver that plays through FM on the radio. We have a 2004 Georgetown. The little magnet antenna does not get a signal from the dash (I park facing North), so I will need to mount it on the roof.

Any risks gluing a metal plate to the roof? Any recommendations as to the best adhesive?

Thanks

I stuck my antenna to the roof of my traiker with a dollop of urethane sealer. Works good and it is still there after 3 years and many roof washes.

My wife stuck it on today with JB Weld she got at Ace. (She won't let me on the roof.) We had some epoxy but were concerned about the tempurature. She actually glued 2 large washes on the top of the front cap to create a magnetic area. We think it should work well.

Thanks
