Interior tv mounting areas

Does anyone know how much area they give you to mount a tv mount. In other words, is it right in line with the stickers or is there a little room to move. I've tried knocking on the wall to see if there is any give but they are vacuum bonded walls so I don't think I'm going to notice any real difference. And yes I understand they usually don't put stickers where there not supposed to be but I've hired and fired about 100 people who said they knew what a rake was but didn't know what end to hold lol.

I have found that the best way for me was to use a stud finder on deep scan

I was going to suggest a stud finder. I personally cannot use one, every time I walk near one it goes off.

Just an FYI for anyone else adding a tv. I called our dealer to ask about the mount area. He said they use about an 8" square piece of plywood and the sticker is basically right in the middle of that area. Well, yes there's a piece of something back there but I found both in the bedroom and the bunk house both pieces of plywood were 8" or so from the ceiling down and the stickers were toward the very bottom of the plywood, I had to mount both tv brackets upside down so the 24" tv's wound even come close to fitting. Luckily these tv mounting brackets work just fine upside down, what do they expect you to watch a 10" tv!?
