IRV 32 won't turn on

I have a 2018 GeoPro G19FD and the IRV32 radio just won't turn on at all. I have pulled it out and can't see any loose connection and the inline fuse looks fine. I even tried replacing ALL the fuses in the converter box and sill no power. I have check it on shore power and on only battery power sill won't turn on.


Any ideas???

You need to check the power at the inline fuse with a multimeter.
Also check the fuse with the multimeter, not just visually.

So I assume you're thinking the loss in power may be at the inline fuse. I tried replacing it with a new one with no joy. Not an expert with a mulitmeter. Where would I place the multimeter probs?

I have no idea where the power loss is, but I just wanted to find out if you had power at the inline fuse. If you have power at the fuse it may be the unit itself, but if there is no power at the fuse there is another issue.
There is lots of online info on how to use a multimeter.
Are your other 12 vdc things working (i.e. lights, fan, etc)?

Well, I was able to use my 12V Tester to check for power and there is power on both sides of the inline fuse. So perhaps there is something wrong internally. I've heard of some of the IRV radios having a recessed reset button, have you heard of the IRV 32 having one?

Do you have a remote for the IRV 32?
Try turning it on with that.

Well, I put a new battery in the remote and tried to turn on the radio but again no luck. So strange. I emailed Forest River and I'll let you know what they say.

Look in the front for a small hole (or look in the manual / search google for your specific model). I have to reset mine from time to time or it won't respond to anything. Mine does power up though, so it may not help!
