I have no idea where the power loss is, but I just wanted to find out if you had power at the inline fuse. If you have power at the fuse it may be the unit itself, but if there is no power at the fuse there is another issue.
There is lots of online info on how to use a multimeter.
Are your other 12 vdc things working (i.e. lights, fan, etc)?
