IRV 70 Radio/DVD

My DVD/Blue Ray player refuses to accept a disk, and it will not eject a disk if I push a disk all the way in. At first the disk would not play, but after driving home it must have jostled in the play position as the disk will now play. Still will not eject.

Techs tell me nothing can be done.

Anyone faced this and overcome the problem? I see some older DVD players have belts that wear out, or some makers include a reset function. Any ideas short of buying new?

The first thing I'd do would be to find and read the manual to see if they have a solution.
The second thing I'd do if you don't find a solution in the manual would be to pull the fuse for the radio and reinsert it after a couple of minutes to see if that 'reboots' it. Usually there is a pinhole in these things where you can insert a long thin piece of wire to spring the eject function, but I don't see one on yours.

i have a flagstaff classic that had the same issue. i had to figure out how to manually remove the disc. Dealer replaced it under warranty. new one seems to be working.

Ya, I'll take it apart and see what is up and report back.

The company tech said nothing can be done. May as well take a look.
