IRV31 stereo-How to use Aux input

Hi all --

Very first post here, but pretty sure it won't be the last. We bought a 2017 Flagstaff a year ago. The IRV 31 stereo has a 3.5 mm auxiliary input in the front, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it work. There is no setting under the "mode" button that makes it work. Nor can I find any other way to activate it. The instruction manual for the unit is a joke. Does anybody have any input on this? (pun intended)

Also, while I'm not looking to rock the campground, I have a spare 12 V subwoofer that is a real slim design that I could easily bolt behind the sofa for a little extra bass on those nights where it's raining and we want to watch a movie. I could actually bolt it to the steel frame for the sofa where you would feel the bass as much as hear it at a very low level. The IRV31 is advertised as a 2.1, but I can't see any output that should go to a subwoofer. Any advice on that?

Are you sure the aux jack isn’t just a headphone jack?
For the subwoofer there should be a green/black wire and a green wire in the harness. The green is + and the green/black is -, that is the 12v for the sub.
