iRV66 DVD player Region Code

I have an iRV66 Technologies DVD player. I can't play DVD's. I get a display on the screen saying the disc is for Region 1. I understand Region codes and why they exist. However, I am in Region 1, the DVD is made for Region 1, the DVD was bought in Region 1, I bought the NEW trailer in Region 1 and use it in Region 1. It's as if my DVD player is set for a different region. Owner's manual is no help.

Check the below thread and contact Patrick Industries (the way to do that is in the thread, I think his name is Todd Ease) and he should get you a new IRV66. Last I read taking it to the dealer and getting from FR will just get you another defective unit.

This is the FIRST time I am seeing this issue and while it is surely frustrating it is something that should be evaluated.

Clearly the dealer will not have the necessary information to understand this issue. I will call the radio factory and see if they have any insight or recommendations on this.

Standby...

I have a message into the radio factory now.

Did you try a different DVD as well?

Tried multiple new and used DVD's. They play fine in other devices. Having said that, we got a few to play without the Region code issue however we had problems with ALL of the ones we tried.
They skip, freeze, don't have sound. It doesn't matter if they are Blu-ray, used, new. Something is clearly defective with this player.

Thanks....

BLU-RAY???

These units do not play Blu-ray!

Are you playing DVD's or Blu-ray?
