I represent ASA Electronics, the producer of the JENSEN brand of televisions, stereos, and speakers, Voyager brand of observation monitors and cameras and the Advent brand of appliances.
The JENSEN TV's Auto Scan function is the method to program any channels into the tuner that have a strong enough signal to be usable. First, verify you are scanning in "AIR" mode.
The antenna you have may need to be raised and/or aimed toward the broadcast station you are looking for. There could also be an antenna amplifier (booster) that needs to be turn ON. Consult your paperwork that came with your coach or ask your dealer for more info on the antenna.
If you run the channel scan and are not finding some/all available channels in the area, it would most likely be caused by signal loss between the antenna and the TV. Inspect the coax cable at the TV and make sure it is securely connected to the antenna jack.
From there, you will need to verify the coax is good between the antenna and the TV. Any loose connections at splitters/switchers, etc. can inhibit the signal. If you have access to a second TV and can temporarily connect to the same connection as the JENSEN TV, you can see if this finds a significant increase in channels. If nothing is found during the scan, this most likely indicates the signal is not making it to that point in the trailer. You may need to visit your dealer for a thorough diagnostics of the antenna & coax cable system.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call our Technical Services dept at 877-845-8750 M-F 8:00AM to 6:00PM EDT and they will be happy to answer any specific questions you may have.
