Konka tv freezes while channel surfing.

Hello all. Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem with the Konka tvs. When changing channels the tv often freezes up. No buttons on the remote work and it also seems the controls on the tv also are unresponsive. After about a 20 second pause, they start working again untill you flip through about 5 or so more channels and the problem repeats. I installed new batteries in the remote but had the same effect. Its a 2012 trailer and is still under warranty.

yea, my Konka does that too. It's a little bit annoying, but not enough for me to take it down and ship it back for warranty. I just learned to slow down my channel surfing a little bit.

Mine does it as well. I believe it's caused by the tuner trying to lock on to the channel signal. For whatever reason, after changing the channel up or down 3-5 in a row times the tuner gets "stuck" and it takes 10 or so seconds to lock on. Not sure there's a workaround other than to surf more slowly...

Maybe you should rethink and force the issue.
If enough people complain about these cheap components they will spend the extra 30 bucks and get a good TV.

Our Konka is outside in the outside kitchen. I don't use it that often because the outside kitchen is commonly referred to as the "outside man cave." LOL. I'll have to pay attention when we're camping next time to see if we're having that issue as well.

Ours seems to work alright. No slower at changing channels than our Toshiba TV and haven't had it freeze up as yet.Don't think it's worth very much though,as someone broke into our trailer and had it unplugged and ready to steal but didn't take it.

Well I took it back to the dealer a few weeks ago. They called today and said the tv was fine. So I drove down there today and personally showed them the issue. The tech said he would submit it. Lets see what Forest River says. Im sure they will come up with some excuse to deny it.

Mine freezes up if I change the channels to fast also. I just surf a little slower and its fine. Since I only use the TV approximatley 15 days a year Im not too concerned over it. I love my Mini Lite but the RV industry needs better quiliaty all the way around and the TV is just one of many things they could upgrade some. I would be willing to pay more for better componets. But I do love my camper and there is always room for improvement I guess.
