If it turns out that it doesn't work real well, I'd just be back at square one anyway. We want to get one of the Bose units anyway for general purpose use. If I test one as a replacement to the soundbar and it doesn't work out real well, I just plug the soundbar back in and see if I can live with. What are your thoughts on that.

Much appreciated!

Did you ever install the Bose speakers? Did it work? I have the exact same crap soundbar.

No, I didn't install the Bose speakers. I took off the soundbar and found that one of the wires had a bad connector on it with frayed wires (as I recall) barely making the connection. At any rate, I cleaned that up and the sound did improve. It's still really bad, but doesn't sound like a transistor radio any more!

We're enjoying the trailer (we're on a trip with it right now), but I'm convinced that I just need to replace the entire IRV system that's in there. The amount of noise (hiss / humm, etc.) that comes out of it is beyond audible - it's loud!

When that project comes to the top of the queue, I'll be doing research on potential replacements.

Good luck with yours!

Rick

Thanks! Yes I believe also a new system needed inside and the speakers outside! It was shortsighted of Flagstaff to install such a crap system.
