MagnaDyne: Playing CD and running GPS

One of my complaints on the Magna Dyne is that you can't play a CD while running the GPS. The CD takes over the screen after you insert it.

Well, today (after owning this RV for a year and a half), I messed with it, and found a way to do it. It's tricky.

First, make sure you are on the GPS screen.

Then, insert the CD and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE until the CD starts playing. (Sometimes it gives you the "put parking brake on before watching video" message. If it does this, eject the CD and start over. )

The CD will play, and after a bit, the screen will go to a blue "media" screen where you can do stuff like skip tracks, etc.

At this point, to get back to the GPS, press the "power" button (the one that turns the Magna Dyne off and on) quickly, do a "press/release" thing. Don't hold it down to long.

If you do the previous correctly, it will switch back to the GPS screen.

Like I said, it's TRICKY!

Now, my last complaint: I wish there was a way to mute the radio/CD, whatever is playing and still hear the GPS. When I'm driving in a big city like Albuquerque (no way am I going to drive in Los Angeles!), which scares the B-geezus out of me, I want NO DISTRACTIONS when I have to listen to the GPS.
