Hi, The microwave on our Surveyor is attached to a chrome frame and this frame is screwed into the opening. The bottom right corner of this frame is broken and it looks like there are stress fractures on the other corners. The microwave seems to the suspended in the opening by this frame with all of the weight being held by the frame - the bottom of the microwave is not touching the bottom of the opening. Is this the way it should be installed or should the bottom of the microwave be resting on the bottom shelf of the opening? The trailer is only 1 year old and I really don't want to see the microwave laying on the floor of the trailer after a long drive.

That is the way they install them should it be that way NO . you can pull it out and add something . like plywood cut to fit and thickness to match
Photos! I highly doubt a cracked frame is normal, in any case.
