Microwave sliding
Anyone have an issue with their microwave sliding back in their harness on one side only. I have tried to work it out myself but I cannot find the cause of it nor the solution. Help would be appreciated.

Microwave
We have a 2015 rockwood mini lite model 2104S. The microwave is a Magic Chef. The right side of the microwave slides in like the bracket may be broken. Just trying to determine if we need to take the whole thing apart. I took a picture but can't figure out how to attach it....

If on warranty take the trailer into the dealer for a fix.
If not - remove the trim venting (4 black screws) on the front and have a look at the microwave and interior surrounding cabinet. It appears to me the left side is fastened in place by a screw or bolt. Maybe the fastener on the right side was either not installed or came undone. You could then replace the fastener.
Or take the micrwave out and put a stop bar at the back to prevent the microwave from sliding back

I had to change my microwave Monday it arced off around the door seal, DW thought I was BBQing outside, it was her and the microwave.
From what you have described it might be the arm bracket detached it self or was never connected.
I unplugged the microwave then removed the screws that hold the bracket around the microwave and slowly and carefully removed it out of the hole.
It should not be hard to repair.
I went to wal-mart and found a microwave close to the same size HB 0.9 cu. ft. It had some red on it so DW like the upgrade in color.
I had to find the right bits for the screws that hold the bracket arms to the microwave it's a star with a hole in it, then there are some feet that are on the bottom that need to come off.
Now on the new microwave you have to drill some holes for the feet to be screwed back in do not over tighten it will strip the hole. I found some new screws for securing the brackets to the microwave, I adjusted the brackets to fit the front of the microwave Sotheby's door opens correctly then I drilled some holes and put the new screws, then I put the microwave in the edge of the hole and ran the electric cord in the hole to the receptacle slid the microwave the rest of the way and the holes for the bracket matched up perfect.
I made sure all the tape was all taken off and it worked as advertised.

Thanks for all your help. We took of the front "cover" and two of the screws were missing (or maybe were never there) that secured the microwave to the brackets. Replaced the screws and should be good to go! Next trip, Mexico this weekend!

Same issue as the OP but on the left side. Arrived at this camp site and the left side was pushed in. Took the 4 screws that hold the front plate to the cabinet off and pulled the microwave out. The 2 screws on the left that hold the mounting/face plate to the microwave were missing and on the right, one screw was missing and the other one was loose. They used self-drilling sheet metal screws and from the bouncing down the road they worked the holes bigger and came loose. I am worried if I put the next size screw in they will again just work loose over time making the hole even bigger. I found one thread where someone used pop rivets to fix this but I am wondering if they too will work themselves loose. Others must have had this issue and I am sure many more will, what did you do to fix this and how long has it lasted?

I would use pop rivets, they can be replaced with no damage to the holes.

Thanks for the reply OldCoot, I will give the pop rivets a try. Of course I have a rivet gun in my tool bag... back in Calif. I forgot most of my tools back in Calif, long story but boy was that dumb. I guess I will hit a store and buy another one and some rivets. Luckily they are pretty cheap.
