Move Light above bed advice

Good morning. For a Rockwood 8280ws, the small light above the bed (below the cabinet) on the window side is too close to the middle where you sit up. Has anyone ever moved an under cabinet light ? There seems to be a false bottom in the cabinet above the bed so is the my way in ? Take out the panel the re nail + caulk the panel ? Looking for a starting point before I go in blind and hack the heck out of it.

If it were Me id look for a low profile led light to replace it.
Some of those are 1/2 inch thick.
That shouldn't be intrusive.
