Need help with Jensen stereo

I CANNOT figure out how to use the Jensen in our Silverback 5th wheel. If I put a music cd in, it will try to load as if a movie cd then comes up with 'reading error'. I see a panel in the left side that has all kinds of available programs to use, i.e. cd, dvr, and a bunch of others but the only one lit up is LD or LG?.... I can't figure out how to change that option to the CD option or DVD option. Can anyone help??
I'm ready to toss it out....LOL

Did you not get a Jensen manual with your trailer?
get the make and model of your Jensen, then do a google search for owners manual.
Even though you gave the model of your trailer, there could be a bunch of different models of sound systems installed.

The model number is JWM70A and I did a search for the manual. None found. The only info we got was a 'quick reference guide' which is literality no help. I'll try You Tube and hope for the best.

I have a Jensen radio/gps in my 2016 Sunseeker MBS 2400W. I hate it! Way too complex with way too many features. Designed by a squirrely nerd engineer on Steriods? I’m going to rip it out and replace it as soon as I have the money. Forest River should be embarrassed to supply junk like this! I’m embarrassed to share my last name with Jensen Electronics. It ain’t my fault!

When my wife, umm, closed the slide with the door open, I just went to eBay and bought a simple unit that does everything you want it to do, and a lot cheaper.

The Jensen unit we had and I mean had is long gone. Retrofit a unit that is easier to use and has the same features. I'm not near our unit now so I can't remember the name - maybe Samsung??

I'm with those who replaced their Jensen. It is a piece of crap and I still have difficulty understanding why Forest River continues to install them.

Because many other RV manufacturers install Jensen units, not just FR. Until Furrion came along, Jensen was probably the most common entertainment unit in the RV Industry.

Thanks, everyone for the input. I finally sent an email to FR and surprisingly got a response the next day. She (Kathy) sent me a link to download the manual so I printed it out and will try to figure out what to do. Pray for me... LOL ... IF that doesn't work, I'll be getting another one with fewer buttons and dials... I just HAVE to have music and it's been driving me crazy without it!

I gave up on my Jenson and bought a bluetooth soundbar with sub woofer...has incredible sound and works great with my TV...and easily connects to my phone to listen to spotify and any radio station

I read through the manual and still didn't get it to work. As far as playing a CD, it just says " insert the CD and it will automatically play"....ummmmm...no it doesn't!
I sent another email to Kathy and she said she would turn it over to the techs and they would get back to me. Haven't heard anything yet, so I'm on a hunt for a replacement.

Been around stereos for like forever. Our 2018 Hathaway has the same head unit.

The person who set up that unit should be fired. Intuitive it is not. Little makes sense. Some 14 year old geek set it up.

Get your phone out and down load the app. I use an apple 8.

It will work well. Mine does. But it is nearly impossible with the radio itself.

With the manual and the app you will be golden. Maybe,

I hate mine, however with the subwoofer i can make it work most of the time. Well even.

No, you cannot plug the apple phone into it. Impossible. But, the blutooth works.
