New 2023 GE fridge shuts off
Hi. I have a new 2023 class c RV with a GE 12v fridge in my Coachman Freelander. It is not vented in any way, which is apparently not necessary. It will run on shore power for several hours, anywhere from 2 to 24 hours, then it shuts off. It’s a guess how long it runs before it shuts off. When we camped and were on shore power it must have stopped in the night and our food was ruined. After a few hours, we can start it again. The dealer says it’s fine. We tried plugging it in at home and it runs three ish hours then stops again. What could be going on

Welcome to the forum!
I have no idea what's going on, but you might try reaching out to GE to see if they have a solution. How is the dealer testing your refrigerator? It sounds like it's running on an inverter, but that shouldn't affect how the refrigerator operates when it's on shore power.
In the meantime, you might want to put a couple of frozen gallon bottles of water in the refrigerator and the fridge to avoid having spoiled food. Those refrigerators should keep the food cold for several hours without power, but the ice would help keep things cold.

Get a fridge thermometer and put in there so you can see what's going on temp wise.
Are you saying your food was OK and the fridge was running when you went to bed and in the morning the fridge had shut off and the food was ruined? That's pretty fast... Agree about reaching out to the manufacturer. Hopefully you got a brochure about the fridge with a phone number in it.
Good luck!

Refrigerator should run approximately 60% of the time. Running non stop 24 hours?
Explain shuts off. Everyone has their own idea of "shuts off".
Food should not get ruined overnight unless you are alarmed at food getting above a certain temp, how warm was it?.
Almost all newer refrigerators are controlled by a control board, without model number on refrigerator have no idea. On any appliance if it has a control board the first thing I would do is remove power to it. Either unplug it or remove all DC power capable of keeping it going. Leave it off for a couple of minutes. Verify by seeing if the light stays off.
Maybe you get lucky and that clears it up. Amazing how many times that fixes things, sometimes permanently, sometime just temporary.
Take a glance at your door switch for the light and make sure it seems to be operating ok.
Buy a remote thermometer with an alarm as it may give you peace of mind.
If you have a data logger to record time and temps or can get one cheap might help. Basically it will just give you more info to give to whoever you call to look at it. Intermittent problems can be hard to narrow down sometimes.

Could be the control board. Could be some kind of a thermal overload. Full size residential refrigerators have one right on the connector where the cable connects to the compressor. Common failure item: $45 from the appliance parts place, $25 on Amazon, $11 on eBay.
I don't know whether the 12v units are built this way but it's a definite possibility.

Read post #8 here, a little more detailed troubleshooting. It was a GE refrigerator also. I doubt if they are making too many different models of these just yet.

Last post says it was the thermostat.
