No power

Hey everyone
Trying to figure out why when I turn off the generate I no longer have any power or lights. Nothing in trailer works, not heater, fridge, hot water heater, lights or anything. I bough new batteries and still nothing. Check all fuses and control panel and everything looks fine. I own a 2009 Forest River Cardinal 35SBQLE (35LE?)

I also started having issues with heater when generator is on. You can flip to heat and hear a click but it doesn't come on. HELP PLEASE any info or where I should start will be greatly appreciated

Have you checked your battery disconnect?

not an expert but if all works with the genny then I would think maybe your batteries a weak, cables are loose on posts or possibly if there is a disconnect switch it is off.
Also I think there is a fuse on the positive wiring from the battery.

Found it and it had been disconnected! Now my issue is the heater to the trailer itself. You can hear it click but won't turn on

Do you have a 12v disconnect switch? It could have been inadvertently turned to OFF.

Were the batteries charged before you inserted them?
Follow the positive line I'm sure there is a fuse. It shouldn't be far from the batteries. Should be a little red rubber case.

John
I figured out the battery disconnect and that was the issue. Might of been moved when wife put stuff under the trailer in storage compartment. Thank you John

Propane tanks full and on. It's the fan/blower that doesn't come on. You can hear a click like it's trying to send power to the unit but Johnny comes on. Was working fine a couple days ago just stopped on its own

Have you pulled the outside panel off and had your wife turn on the furnace? Might be able to see what is or is not happening. Also, is there a reset button on your furnace that you can see while you have the panel off?
What does your furnace owners manual say in the "trouble shooting" section?

Is your stove lighting like it should? This proves there's actually propane available!

Yes. The stove has been our way of heating the trailer up a bit

The blower should actually come on for several seconds BEFORE you hear any clicking noise. This clears the combustion chamber ahead of the gas valve opening up to ensure you don't have too much gag in the chamber causing a explosion. Is this happening?

Blower comes on FIRST, before ANY CLICKING!

Be sure to crack a window or two if your heating with your cook stove. Carbon monoxide!!!

No explosions or anything. Blower doesn't come on so I assume it never ignites

For the most part I can only help for the easy stuff....lol
Once again locate the fuse/breaker.

From my understanding if the fan does not work the furnace will not kick in. This is a safety feature.

Not sure if this will help but when the weather was on the cool side there were a few times my propane would not run properly hence no heat. Just for shits and giggles see if the flame(s) on the stove are weak.

If so what I ended up doing was using the BBQ tank. Ya I dunno but it worked.

Other than the fuse/breaker check the obvious, see what the thermostat is set to and set to heat.

John

An electric space heater is ALWAYS a good addition to any RV, just for situations like your experiencing. Works well in cool weather, will be a bit lacking in cold temps though.

So, if the furnace is clicking, it's getting 12V. However, It shouldn't click if the blower has not been on for several seconds FIRST as I stated above.

Just need a bit more info--is the thermostat clicking or is it the furnace clicking?

Sounds like a click from the blower trying to start. But doesn't
