Not sure what's going on with furnace

This is my first post, and I've been pulling my hair out over this. I just purchased a 2018 Rockwood 2104S, and I'm having an issue with the furnace. It will run and heat, but I'm having some sort of short or something. When I step on the entry steps, I hear the furnace flame goes out then reignites, most of the time. It took a while to figure this out but, but I can step up and down on the step and the furnace flame will go on and off each time. The steps are bolted to the frame with no ground wires attached. This will happen if I'm hooked to 110 or not, or if I'm hooked up to my truck. I did have to move the trailer today, parked it, and the heater would not ignite. It would cycle through and turn off. Then when I parked it back in my drive way, furnace worked, but still had the flame/step problem. Any ideas are welcome.

Check for loose connection at igniter. What make and model is the furnace?

I did remove the igniter to check it, when I first started trouble shooting, but I will double check it, and it’s wiring. The furnace is a Suburban NT-16SQ

It sounds like you are losing the flame proving signal from the igniter when the floor flexs. Remove grill and when furnace is running, move wire to igniter and see if the flame shuts down. It could also be loose at circuit board but to get to it the furnace would need to be removed.

Just a thought. On my trailer, the main gas line runs just behind my entry steps. If your trailer is like mine, when you step on the step, you might be flexing the gas line. Then that movement is moving something in the furnace just enough to cause the issue.

When you moved the trailer and it wouldn't work at all, that same flex issue may have been the issue.

Good luck finding the gremlin.

Pinched gas line

After opening up the furnace and checking all connections, still had the same problem. I used a temporary power source thinking that maybe the wires were being pinched somehow, and shorting out, still had the same problem. I brought in a temporary propane tank, hooked it up and Walla no more problem. Apparently, the gas line was getting pinched every time I would Step on the step or park on an uneven surface. I couldn’t get the old line out, so I had to reroute a new line. That was a tough one, thanks for your replies.
