Observation camera antenna

I have a observation camera on my trailer that sometimes loses signal. I want to get a stronger antenna for it but the manufacturer doesn't sell one. Are antennas all pretty much the same? Can I buy one for another system and have it work?

When I had issues with our new (at the time) rear observation camera the seller sent me an antenna "extension" for free. It's just a 8"ish tall flexible antenna and base with a 15' cord - no power/booster. It works great and I see them on Amazon pretty cheap (here's an example)
