Outside panel on refrigerator

I wanted to know if this white plastic tube suppose to be pointing downwards? At the moment this is what it came from the factory, with the end tied to the top.

I was told by CW salesman thats it suppose to be my condensation drain line and suppose to be pointed down and out the vent. Here are two pictures.

It's a drain line so it should point down out of one of the openings in the vent.

We did look at that area during the PDI, but he never mentioned it should be pointing down.
It was a good thing the store clerk at camping world noticed it as I was buying bug screens and asked if they had one for this vent.

The factory tucked ours back into the fridge box so it would drain INTO the camper. Luckily I caught it before any damage was done. But why wasn't it placed properly in the first place?
It now sticks through one of the vent holes in the outside cover.
